The ten most popular travel destinations for female travelers who prefer solo adventures have finally been revealed, and you can never guess which country has stolen the top spot.

As stated in the booking site of Hostelworld, the previous couple of years have witnessed a 42% increase in backpackers who choose to travel and explore the world, with more women taking on the challenge than any time before.

It is indicated that the number of women who make solo bookings increased by 45% from 2015 to 2017, which is 5% higher than male solo travelers.
