California may offer us many incredible places to visit, but these forests are one of the greatest, indeed! The reason is, they contain trees that are older than the Roman Empire. Plus, it holds the oldest tree on earth, Hyperion, which is 379.7 feet tall (74 feet taller than the Statue of Liberty) and it was only discovered in 2006.

Plus, many species consider these forests as their home, like black-tailed deer, mountain lions, bobcats, black bears, and over 400 species of birds.
This forest welcomes a few visitors, approximately 1.5 million in total.

Nevertheless, the tourist season is from June to September, which gives you the whole year to enjoy what Mother Nature provides for our eyes and ears, and thanks to the nearby ocean, these forests have a stable and a beautiful climate all year around.

There are several points from where you can watch the ocean and spot migrating gray whales between April and December.

The Grand Canyon was the home of many Native Americans who built caves and settlements all over that land.

The Spanish discovered this place first back in 1540, many decades later, it became a touristic destination and was welcoming over 44.000 visitors after it became a park in 1919. By 2016, the Grand Canyon received more than 6 million visitors.
