California may offer us many incredible places to visit, but these forests are one of the greatest, indeed! The reason is, they contain trees that are older than the Roman Empire. Plus, it holds the oldest tree on earth, Hyperion, which is 379.7 feet tall (74 feet taller than the Statue of Liberty) and it was only discovered in 2006.

Plus, many species consider these forests as their home, like black-tailed deer, mountain lions, bobcats, black bears, and over 400 species of birds.
This forest welcomes a few visitors, approximately 1.5 million in total.
