The Statue of Liberty is the most familiar icon of the United States and the nation’s deeply rooted values of freedom. In NYC Harbor, the Statue stands there aiming for the clouds and can be spotted from all over the city.

Lady Liberty attracts many visitors from all over the world to remind them of the values of independence and freedom that all people have the right to own. The Statue was a gift from the French to Americans in 1886 as a celebration of American Independence. It is 306 feet tall (151 feet is the copper statue only).
