This place is actually one of the most interesting lakes on earth because it is the saltiest, most alkaline lakes ever. Lake Natron is covered with a salt crust that sometimes turns to red.

Often, the water temperature reaches 120°F, which obviously makes this place unfit for life. As a matter of fact, only three kinds of fish who were able to adapt to the extreme conditions and they are the only creatures on earth that are capable to live there.

In conclusion, it may not be a very good idea to plan a trip to this place, even if you can survive the heat, you won’t be able to survive the alkaline.
